NGS Sets 3 Strategic Goals in line with New Vision and Mission
Our mission at NGS is to graduate dynamic, compassionate, literate global citizens who are proud of their Islamic identities and ready to contribute, create, share and work to build a better work for all.
Our vision is to lead and inspire transformation in global education shaped by Islamic ideals to creatively solve global issues and promote possibilities for all people.
Strategic Goals 2019-22
Inspire and engage students to become literate, compassionate global citizens by utilizing culturally relevant and responsive inquiry-based learning supported by rich, consistent and explicit assessment practices.
Create the conditions for learning in a culture of love that is assets-based and supports the development of creative, happy, healthy students.
Develop educator capacity to support their own learning needs (individually & collectively) and to establish a reflective practice that meets the targets identified through the achievement and wellbeing goals. School goals do not identify all the work that is happening in a school. Instead, they are intended to identify specific areas of focus through which targeted work will lead to measurable changes in outcomes.
For the school years 2019-22 , the three broad areas of focus will be: achievement, well-being and equity.
The goals of a School Improvement Plan are not static and will change/adapt/shift based on the continued work occurring, goals achieved and/or new learning arising based on the work happening.
As such, it is best to think of these strategic goals as a working draft.
